DID YOU KNOW THE TOWN OF DILLON MOVED THREE TIMES?
Dillon was incorporated January 26, 1883 and has moved three times; 1st to be closer to the railroad, 2nd to be located between The Blue, The Ten Mile, and The Snake rivers, and 3rd in 1956 when the Denver Water Board told townspeople they must sell their property and be out by 1961 for construction of the dam. The final and current location for Dillon was selected on the shore of the new reservoir.
